Our shared rooms accommodate between 2 to 4 people at a lower price. There are male and female rooms – not mixed. When you share a room there’s a sense of community, but there’s also no obligation to chat or socialise. Retreats go into silence from 9pm to 9am each day, allowing you to drop into your own peace and quietude. If you know you are a heavy snorer we recommend that you book a single room. You'll be staying in Grade 1-listed Sharpham House, and you'll enjoy wonderful views of the peaceful and tranquil grounds and parkland, thought to have been laid out by Capability Brown We are set within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to nature, amid breath-taking scenery on the banks of the River Dart. You can make your own hot drinks in each room. Because Sharpham House is a Grade 1-listed mansion (with limits to the changes we are allowed to make to the building), few bedrooms come with an en-suite bathroom and toilet. There are shared bathrooms on every floor.

If you prefer privacy, choose a single occupancy room. These are smaller but cosy rooms, and you pay a bit more for single occupancy. (Please only book this room if you have an access or medical need) - An accessible ground-floor single room, located close to the lift, with an accessible en-suite bathroom and bed. Due to limits of adapting a Grade 1-listed house, unfortunately our lift may not be able to accommodate larger sized wheelchairs. You can also give further details regarding any access requirements on our booking form, which will be sent to you to complete after booking.
